Domestic Service Definitions
Endicia for Mac supports all domestic single-piece rates.
Priority Mail is used for documents, gifts, and merchandise. Any mailable item may be sent as Priority Mail. The maximum weight is 70 pounds. The maximum size is 108 inches or less in combined length and distance around the thickest part.
First-Class is used for personal and business correspondence. Any mailable item may be sent as First-Class Mail. It includes postcards, letters, large envelopes, and small packages.
Media Mail is for sending small and large packages containing books, film, manuscripts, sound recordings, video tapes, and computer media (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes).
Bound Printed Matter is a cost efficient way to send small and large packages containing permanently-bound sheets of directory, advertising, or editorial matter, such as catalogs or phone books.
Parcel Post is used for gifts and general merchandise, may also contain books and other printed matter. Maximum weight is 70 pounds. The maximum size is 130 inches in combined length and distance around the thickest part.
Library Mail is used to send books, recordings, and media material to, from, or between schools, libraries, museums, and other qualified organizations.
Express Mail offers overnight service to many destinations and is guaranteed or your money is refunded. Express Mail is delivered to many locations 365 days a year including weekends and holidays - at no extra charge - and delivered next day by noon to select locations. All packages must use an Express Mail label. Maximum weight is 70 pounds.
